The admission process for the online Graduate Certificate – Change Leadership program is streamlined to help you get started right away. Plus, the GMAT is waived for qualified applicants.

Admission Requirements:

  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Professional resume

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the last 90 quarter or 60 semester-graded postsecondary credit hours**

  • Official transcript from the college/university where degree was earned

  • Most EWU graduate programs only require one transcript. Please submit a transcript from your degree-granting institution. This transcript should include the final two years of your degree completion. If it does not, please submit transcripts to cover your final two years of earned credits.

These are the courses for your online Graduate Certificate – Change Leadership at EWU

In order to earn the online Change Leadership certificate, you must complete four courses (16 credit hours).

Students in the Graduate Certificate - Change Leadership program will take the following core courses.

This course rests on an understanding that change is a needed & normal part of leadership, organizations, & the world at large. Additionally, effectively navigating change is a critical aspect of leadership. Finally, this course understands that the complex problems of organizations & society cannot simply be broken down into parts and then solved. This course focuses on three interrelated concepts, effective change leadership, a systems view of change, & design thinking for change.

This course examines leadership for community and social change. Students will investigate the role of socially responsible institutions and how they can lead social change in a just and sustainable manner. Students will explore how to engage multiple stakeholders and how to create meaningful and sustainable social change.

In this course students will learn the fundamentals of design thinking, explore how to use these fundamentals to accomplish change, and consider how design thinking can serve as a tool for leading change processes and initiatives.
