What do I do if I need to move my start date to a future term?

Prior to the term’s start date, you can shift your start date to a future term by contacting the Graduate Studies office at gradprograms@ewu.edu or 509.359.6297. In your email, be sure to include your full name, student ID#, term you selected, term you want, and indicate which program you are in to ensure proper processing of your requested change.

How long is my application valid?

Your application and application fee are good for 12 months. If you do not start the program within one year of your intended start date, you must reapply and submit another application fee. Instructions for checking your application status can be found here.

What if I selected the wrong concentration when I completed my application?

Send an email Graduate Studies (gradprograms@ewu.edu) to notify them of the correct concentration. To change your concentration after you begin your studies, contact your department.

Are payment plans available?

No.

Is Financial Aid available?

Yes. EWU’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Office can assist you with determining your eligibility for financial aid and scholarships. From completing the FAFSA to having aid available can take up to eight weeks. We can answer your financial aid questions at 509-359-2314 or finaid@ewu.edu

Are registration and tuition policies different for online programs?

Yes. Due to the accelerated nature of these courses, course add and drop dates and tuition payment schedules are different for online programs than they are for regular quarter and semester-based courses. Tuition for online programs is assessed at the time of your enrollment and is due in full prior to the start of the term. It's important to pay close attention to the academic calendar corresponding to each course you take – be sure you are checking the 6-week academic calendar to verify important dates.

I do not have funding available but want to begin a session. Can I start and pay later?

No. All students are responsible — regardless of their source of funding — for monitoring their account and paying their full charges by the tuition deadline, which is two calendar days before the session start date. Failure to pay in full by the tuition deadline will result in your removal from the current session. Re-enrollment will not be available until the next session.

How do I complete the Foundations courses for the Online MBA?

EWU College of Business is offering an inexpensive alternative for BADM 502 and BADM 505.

BADM 502 and BADM 505 may be taken in a fast track option through Ivy Software. Utilizing this option will save you time and money.

  • BADM 502—FINANCE (required before taking BADM 530 and finance electives)
  • BADM 505—ESSENTIALS OF ACCOUNTING (required before taking BADM 560 and accounting electives)

Each Ivy course requires approximately 20-25 hours and costs only $75 per course. They are self-paced and can be done at your convenience.

  • The Ivy equivalent to BADM 502 is Understanding Corporate Finance.
  • The Ivy equivalent to BADM 505 is the combination of Financial Accounting: A Management Perspective and Managerial Accounting.
  • There is no Ivy equivalent to BADM 503—QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS IN BUSINESS (required before taking BADM 520)

If you choose the Ivy Software option, you must complete the Ivy course(s) at least one week prior to the registration deadline or you will not be able to complete your registration for that session.

Once you’ve completed the required chapters for each course, you will have three opportunities to complete the exam. You must achieve 80% or better to pass. Please email the MBA Program Specialist when you’ve completed our Ivy Software exam. She will record your success and clear your way for enrolling in the corresponding MBA core and elective courses.

How do I learn more about session dates, textbooks and program plans as an Online MEd student?

The Department of Education has provided a website for Online MEd students to learn more about their program, course offerings, textbooks, and individual program plans. For more information, please visit: https://inside.ewu.edu/educgrad/med-online/

What do I need to do about my immunization records?

Nothing. EWU has determined students who are taking courses exclusively online DO NOT need to show verification of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) mmunity. Please disregard previous notifications.
